Port Claw Ridge

Welcome to Port Claw Ridge, a pirate infested port where the only law is to know who to not upset. On the docks there are folks of all races walking around, some pirates, others fencers, and yet still others of some occupation or another. For a land of outlaws, things were fairly peaceful. Sure there were plenty of folks fighting it out at the taverns, drunk of course. Others trying to hire the local women and the captains talking to who would be the merchants to resupply.

A vast number of ships of all sizes can also be seen, from some of the largest ships to small one man ships, they all lined up the docks and others weighed anchor if they couldn't find a spot. Many looking in top condition while others looked like they were in desperate need of repairs and everything in between. Many Jolly Rodger flags can be seen, all different and unique to show which captain owned which ship.

For reasons of their own, people come to this port, some to find work, others to find a certain person. Those coming to work for a Pirate captain will have a time searching though, most ships were already full of crew and most living conditions were less than ideal for the promise of gold, but if a life of fame, a life full of wealth, a life full of danger, and a life full of drinks is what you want, this is the place to begin.

Of course, there was one thing that was on the winds and voices of the people, a rumor that a vicious pirate was docked at this very port, a man so blood thirsty that even vampires fear his blood lust. Ripping peoples heads off with only his teeth, a man of cunning actions, and image so terrible that even the Kraken avoids this man out of fear. It is hard to tell how much is exaggerated garbage, or if there really was a man of blood lust here, but there is a name to go along with the man, Captain Blood Fang, but no clear description of the man himself. One thing was for certain, he had no crew of his own, most people were far too scared of the stories alone to see if they're true or not, so no one wishes to seek him out. But can that be true of absolutely everyone? Time will tale.

Re: Port Claw Ridge

Lilly will be playing, in the tavern and i am using, the spell
Unearthly chorous.
Effect in parenthesis (Music of a style you choose fills the air around you in a 30-foot radius. The music spreads around corners and can be heard from up to 100 feet away. The music moves with you, centered on you for the duration. Until the spell ends, you make Charisma (Performance) checks with advantage. In addition, you can use a bonus action on each of your turns to beguile one creature you choose within 30 feet of you that can see you and hear the music. The creature must make a Charisma saving throw. If you or your companions are attacking it, the creature automatically succeeds on the saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes friendly to you for as long as it can hear the music and for 1 hour thereafter. You make Charisma (Deception) checks and Charisma (Persuasion) checks against creatures made friendly by this spell with advantage.)

Waiting for a captain.

Re: Port Claw Ridge

Twiggy Pete, carpenter, musician, and facepuncher for hire, sits in the tavern wondering just how much rum he's drunk, and how much more he should drink.  Watching the woman playing (Lilly), he grabs at his coin purse, and after a few tries he counts out what he still has.  Prooooobably not enough to buy her company for a few hours.  Well, one hour.  Okay, ten minutes, but he's drunk so it doesn't count.  But being drunk, he's also in no condition to realize she's probably not open to it in the first place.

Re: Port Claw Ridge

Rosé sat in a corner, swishing about a flute of wine - which had taken a small miracle to convince the purveyor of the establishment to find and serve - and watching the crowd intently. She felt the magic radiating off the bard and pushed it out of her mind. There was no way that one was Blood Fang. No, Blood Fang would be someone... wilder. Someone who would give her a real test for her power at last. And though there were plenty of drinking holes in Port Claw Ridge, Rosé was running out of ones to search for the mysterious pirate captain. Hopefully he'd turn up soon...

Re: Port Claw Ridge

Lrz is lurking in the shadows of the street, cutting though alleyway to alleyway, scoping out who to pick pocket, and assessing the near by "Guards" and surveying witnesses. Once gathering enough information i make my way in to the taverns alley way and squat outside asking for change. (Do we all know each other already at this point? if not its a random tavern that could possibly be the one everyones at, and if so then i avoid the tavern where everyones at. hahah )

Re: Port Claw Ridge

The patrons of the tavern would be listening to the music, some realizing the magic while others were caught in it. However the performance was good as folks started throwing gold pieces to Lilly and clapping. All together Lilly would have gotten 30 Gold Pieces from the folks around.

Now in this tavern, the Shell's Wake, there were several folks of interest, though Rosé could tell that non of them looked like Blood Fang, but there were folks that one could ask. One of which was the bartender, a Yuan-Ti wearing a woven hat and custom made overalls, which was impressive considering he was a cobra looking fella with a snakes lower body. He would be drinking his own brand of Moonshine, a brand that he didn't sell to anyone, but he did make other drinks for the patrons.

One of the customers would walk next to Pete and said "A bit shy in the pockets lad, looks like ye be needing to head back to yer ship soon." He said patting him on the shoulder.

Lrz would notice that there wouldn't be any guards for say, but everyone, and by definition, absolutely bloody everyone, was armed. This was a pirate town, though there was a more civilized town down the ways south, the port was lawless, everyone their own guard, but with enough poking around Lrz could find a few pirates so drunk that he could steal from them while talking to them without problem. While he was asking for change a unique person would pass by him. A red furred gnoll who was shorter than him, only standing at a solid 4 feet tall wearing a dark blue outfit and hat, brown pants and boots. He was holding his head, seems he had woken up from a night of drinking as he looked over to Lrz. "Heh, so what got your gold? Drink, gamble or women?" He chuckled, pulling out a pouch and handing him 15 gold. "Go get yourself something." He said and then growled and yipped a bit. "Sorry, head's killing me." He said waving and heading off towards a small ship docked up.

Re: Port Claw Ridge

When Lilly made her claim that she was looking for a crew to be part of there were plenty of folks already trying to figure out a way to get her to join, for one reason or another.

At this point the Yuan-Ti would speak up and said "Aw'd be careful ifin aw was ya, lass. Mos' These 'ere boys aren' the bes' type for one such'as yourself." He said, this snake had one thick accent, heck one could easily guess he originated from a swamp village from out the ways. He'd finish up his moonshine as he cleaned the glass. "Tell ya wha'. How about ya jus' go on ahead an' tell me wha' type of crew ya lookin' for and maybe aw can point ya in the righ' direction."

While the gnoll left, from the corner of Lrz eyes he could see the flag that flew above the ship the gnoll went into. It was a Jolly Rodger of a canine skull with two fangs crossed over under the skull. Now, the flag was familiar, it belonged to some pirate captain that was being talked about by folks, however Lrz hasn't paid too much attention to that detail, so the name is slipping him.

Re: Port Claw Ridge

Pete takes a few seconds to look up at the person addressing him, but by then they'd moved on.  And Pete was fixin' to paste him but good for...something.  Lurching to his feet, Pete makes his way to the singer.  "Hey.  Heeeey.  Yous pretty good.  An' pretty pretty too.  You wanna go somewheres 'n..."  he trails off, grinning.
