Rae stands in front of the portal for a moment.  This wasn't going to be just a quick jaunt for a book.  She looked into her satchel. Her maps, her navigation equipment, the sextant Lorenzo got her, spyglass... most everything she had, in fact, other than her books.  

She told the bored student who probably couldn't care less.  "Sigil Prep is just... so big, you know?  It's not like when ye are on a ship, with forty or fifty other sailors, surrounded by th' sea.  No where to go.  All we had was each other, savvy?"  She shakes her head. "Oi, I be blubberin'. But, I think I be needin' that."

She slides her ID through the portal, which opens obligingly, and she steps through.
