"Sure kid."  Marty tells the cat-boy.  "But if you take a bite from the stuffing before the cut I'll see ya hooked, boned, and roasted. Got it?"

 

Thief's cant for don't steal our stuff or you're toast.

"I am wounded to my quick," Artie says. "To think I would steal to fill my meager belly with nourishing food, instead of suffering in dignity as orphans ought do."

Rusty reaches the front door with a largish child's wagon. "Dodgeful Artie and Co's Helpful Taxi Service, 10 sp per trip" is painted on the side. The little warforged pulls a pullman's cap from inside the vest that is his only garment. "At your service, miss."

"Lemons - as in lemon squares?"  Marty asked Francis.  She had no experience with the semi-tropical fruit herself, but Neil's lemon squares were delicious. "Sure, grab a dozen of them and a couple horseradishes."  

"No point in stealing for food when you're invited to the feast."  Marty reminded the kids as she helped the kids load the wagon with produce.  "It's all much better after preparation and cooking."  She did keep an eye on her purse though.

She shrugged at mention of the hijinx with the grocer.  "I'm no snitch.  And the kid didn't really lie. The grocer asked about candy.  A merchant that can't secure his goods deserves what he gets."  And really, it wasn't any of their business.

When Lorenzo patted his shoulder Frances would turn his head toward him. He gave a chuckle and nod. "Right, will do. And I appreciate it, thank you." He said.

While thinking Frances noticed that the shop keeper was startled by him, but got his composer back quickly and didn't make a seen. He would ask "So, if I may?" he said to the group. "How about getting some lemons? I know some folks like dripping lemon juice on crab meat to give them a 'zing' in a sense." He suggested.

After a second he noticed Unit had stayed out.and decided to inquire a bit more on him. He has heard stories of possibilities of creating metal golums, but non worked, Unit seems to be a successful version. "Greetings there. I don't think we've properly meet, I usually had a mask and gloves on. Name's Frances." He said holding his hand out to shake his.

The warforged looks down at the profered hand, then takes it.  "Unit001.  I think you're being too negative about your situation, Frances.  You lost a lot of what you feel made you, you.  But you might be happier if you focus on what you've gained.  Eternity."

Rae says as an aside to Marty (and any classmate near enough, trying not to be heard by the kids).  "Wouldn't it be better t' offer t' buy the wagon and take th' booty back t' the dorms ourselves. Then we not be havin' t' trust these rapscallions."
