"Exotic, huh? Well, lemme see." He walks past a two-headed snake, a small enclosure of baby tyrannosaurs, a dog-sized mastodon, and a horse-sized hamster, and pats a cage. "Got one of them hairless cats. Hypoallergenic an' everything."

"Right, right, right. Well, over here," he says, leading to a rear room, "got a wyvern. Totally trained, mount ready." He pets the wyvern. It bites his arm, ripping off a huge patch of muscle. "Ooo. That's gotta hurt."
He wanders the room a bit. "Lessee, drake, drake... Is a tarrasque egg a drake? No, wait, I sold that 'un. Oh!"
He shows a series of cages, in which a few reptilian creatures stir. "Guard drakes, not full grown. They're pretty hungry, 'cause if I feed 'em, they'll imprint on me an' I can't sell 'em after."
There's a blue one, a green one, a red one, and a white one.

guard drakes. ok im intrigued. so im ready to make a purchase so how much i need to give you can we also do trades i can sharpen your and strengthen any of your old knives to beyond sharp

Frances again would be wondering around the shop as Maki did her business. He had a soft spot for animals as he was checking out most of the pets that were in display.

"Nah, I'm a shopkeep by trade. Ain't got need for weapons. Well, my butcher's equipment could use some sharpenin', but I ain't sure that's worth a guard drake. One of these puppies gotta be worth at least 760,000 platinum, and sharpenin' a cleaver is what? Six hundred diamonds tops."
