Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

Sarah shrugs and says, "Slime-y, not slime. A fine distinction, but an important one."

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

The door slides open to a large room, in the middle of which is a fancy cloak on a tailor's dummy. Across the room, Creig and his gang are staring at a different door, until the orange-haired girl in the yellow shirt turns around, tugs on Creig's jacket and points.
"Shit! They said you'd be coming in this way." They all rush toward the mannequin, except Chi-Chi, who watches puzzled for a second or two before realizing she probably is supposed to join them.

"Three rounds, Team 1," The Host says. "You have three rounds to claim the cloak, while Team 2 does their best to stop you."

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

Sarah steps forwards and, thinking quickly, draws a small sack and rips into it, revealing it to be full of black power. She tosses it at the general direction of the other party, aiming for it to land in such a way that the powder poofs out of the bag and hangs in the air between Creig's group and the mannequin.

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

Lorenzo runs straight for the mannequin, ignoring his own potential safety to reach it and going full bore right at it.
(Going full dash at the cloak.)

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

t'Nee closes his eyes in what looks like slightly too long to be a blink. When he opens them, he leaps directly on top of the tailor's dummy in one leap.

((spent 1 Ki to Step of the Wind, doubling my jump distance, which is normally 25, and using Dash as a bonus action. So...technically I have a move and an action left, but I want to know how this resolves first))

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

Unit charges the other team.  No need to beat them to the prize if they're all dead!

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

(24- t'Nee
23- Chi-Chi
20- Jennifer
21- Lorenzo
17- Shiori
16- Kel
13- Unit
10- Sarah, Creig, Mitzi)

T'nee makes a prodigious leap and lands atop the mannequin. Or rather, atop the wall of force surrounding the mannequin. (t'Nee still has actions to declare I believe?)

Chi-Chi sprints surprisingly fast across the floor, now with a massive axe nobody paid attention to her having before.

(t'Nee's actions completed, then Jennifer)

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

Jennifer was excited, it all came down to this. A race, an obstacle course and a puzzle all in one.

It looked like her friends could handle the other team for the most part, but the puzzle itself could be a problem. She knew that she herself, despite her passion for these kinds of games, wasn't exactly the best at them, as her cult youth group's difficulties on their visit to Malbolge's most infamous "Escape the Pit" challenge could show.

She quickly made the assumption that of all of them Shiori would be best to deal with puzzles. After all she was a rogue, rogues were all about things like that, weren't they? She wasn't sure if that was a stereotype.

These were questions best resolved at a later date though.
"Dear Lord Asmodeus. Thank you, with your help, we've nearly claimed this cloak in your mighty name. We just need to get to it. Thus I call upon you to aid my friend Shiori in figuring out a way to get to it. She's a rogue, so I have faith in her but of course all actions can be improved with your close watch and guidance. Thank you. Nos Nihil Ante Vos."

Shiori could hear a voice in her head, something urging her, both with good advice on whatever subject that came to her mind, mixed with frequent mentions of how to give in to her evil urges and surrender her soul to hell. It was hardly compelling, but somewhat disturbing.

(Cast Guidance. Shiori can add +1d4 to her next skill check.)

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

As Jennifer casts her spell, Lorenzo reaches the cloak as well, likewise finding an invisible field stopping him from actively grabbing it.

Re: Legends of the Forbidden Gameshow

t'Nee shouts to the others as a free action, "There's some sort of force field blocking me from getting to the cloak!" and then hops down on the party's side of the forcefield, hoping it will grant him cover from the oncoming team 2. He readies his spear to pounce at any member of team 2 who reaches his team's side of the force field.
