Re: Jamaican sunset

Marty does a backwards somersault, and as her feet pass directly above her head she changes her perception of gravity and floats gently "down'" to Max's yard.

Re: Jamaican sunset

"We did it Maki, this house looks nice! Though too big..." Hano jumps in the air and floats up to Max's house, bobbing off course a few times on the way. "I think I'm -waagh!- getting the hang of this!" When she reaches the door she gives a few short knocks.

Re: Jamaican sunset

Shortly after Hano knocks, the door opens, and a green slaad in an apron answers. "I bought brushes yesterday," she says, then looks at Hano carefully. "Okay, I'll take six." She hands Hano a bag of coins, then goes back inside.

Re: Jamaican sunset

Hano looks in surprise at the bag of coins, the scratches her chin as an idea crosses her mind. She floats back down to Maki:
"Hey, Maki, what did you want to learn from these people? If you go up there and give the person who answered the door these coins, they might be more receptive, eh?" She hands her the bag of coins. "Even though I, personally, would prefer something more interesting..."

Re: Jamaican sunset

The door opens again, and Max's Wife says, "Oh, why didn't you say so. The cleavers are on top of the refrigerator. That's in the third story bathroom." She turns to Hano and narrows her eyes. "And where are those brushes you were supposed to deliver?"

Re: Jamaican sunset

Hano stammers "Oh, uh... I'm just bringing them in from my delivery cart! Just a few moments, mum." She turns and darts away, landing back near Not-Max's yard. Spotting a group of flowers, she hurriedly closes her eyes, and wills them to be brushes. She doesn't have fur, though, why would she need brushes? Eh...

Re: Jamaican sunset

The flowers become a fair assortment of brushes, although they remain very floral in design.

Re: Jamaican sunset

"Eh... good enough." Hano gathers up the brushes and brings them to Mrs. Slaad. "Here you are, mum! Thank you for choosing Tsah Brush Delivery, and if you ever need more brushes, we hope you'll think of us."

Re: Jamaican sunset

"Marty watches the goings-on with a rising sense of detachment and despair.  It did not seem likely that this trip was going to yield any toenails, of slaad or otherwise.  Maybe if she communicated with the others things would go better, but then she'd have to explain or lie about why she wanted the rather grisly item.

Spotting the skeleton nearby, she approached.  "Hey Francis."  She greeted.  "I wonder if you could make music come to life here?  Maybe notes would break into a chorus line or something."
