"Check out th'...?". Rae asks. "Ye want t' check out th' bleedin' vampire church?". She walks over to the window. "The pizza store was plundered by a stone golem that be leavin' a bit o' itself behind, not a vampire. Mystery solved, let's be headin' back t' port"

Frances would notice the tone as he got up and said "Calm down there Captain, no one's saying you got to go into the vampire church. Look, we just head there, I'll go in personally to talk to them, I mean, it's not like they can see me as a meal." He said holding up his arm and poking his hand through the two arching arm bones. "And I'll bring back any info that I can get. Besides, they can't change me to a vampire, the worse they can do is...no wait...ehm, well 'technically' the could turn me into a Revenant...maybe?" He said.
Celtic version that's a skeleton with very thin or no skin that 'can' techniqually drink a persons blood and even bleed themselves. A lot stronger and smarter than regular skeletons for they don't have a proxy soul, it's their own soul out for revenge against the one who killed them.

"Hi. Total stranger." Well, almost. Simon had seen Frances around, but never spoke to him. "Let me come with you. Hanging around vampires alone is never a good idea. Especially if they're..." He glances at Leo. "You think they're a Blood of Vol offshoot?"

"Ye better hope they be blood aw-ful," Rae warns, "cause if they be fastin', they be worse than being on th' ropes end of a kraken."

"Rae seems to know 'em," says Leo, "so I doubt they're Blood of Vol. Must be from her plane. I'll go with ya too Frances, we bards gotta stick together."
With that, Leo heads over to the Church of Dusk.

Rae slams back her beer and tosses a coin into the "take a penny" bowl. "Shiver me Timbers," she says wiping her mouth with the feathery back of her forearm, "I can't be letting ye landlubbers go to that church wi'out me. If they think that ye be sinners, they be drinkin' ye dry. At least with me there, they'll know I be a sinner."

"Vampires..." Marty shook her head as she followed along with the others. "Nothing good can come of this." Vampires had caused no end of trouble in her homelands, and were the cause of at least two wars.

The church is a classic Gothic design, tall and ominous, the "sky" somehow darker around it than the neighboring buildings. Gargoyles perch on the four corners and bats fly from the bellfries, around the building, then back in because there's no place in particular to go.
The door opens as the group approaches.
"Come in," a voice beckons, and candles light, one by one, to illuminate the congregational hall, up to the altar where a single man awaits.
