Rae is on deck when the call goes out, so she flies up into the atmosphere bubble to lend her eyes to the other lookouts.

The world before them, as it gets closer, is lush and green. It's pretty clear that it's jungle from pole to pole, and even as the ship gets close enough to see the leaves on the trees, it's hard to see where the ship is supposed to land.
Finally, it comes to a clearing that seems specifically designed for landing ships in, and Macaw's isn't the only ship docked.

"ooh, it be a jungle!" Rae says. She alights in the highest point she can perch on on the ship and pulls out her spy glass to look for any signs of trouble. Or brontodons.

The ship finally sets down, and crew begins unloading barrels of goods and the handful of cattle they could scrounge up. The locals examine the goods as Macaw negotiates with a foreman; meanwhile, Rae spots a little old Kara-Turan lady watching with rapt attention.

Since Sands hadn't asked her to unload anything, and technically she was serving as a lookout, Rae decided to investigate. She took off from her perch and flew over to the woman, landing in front of her, but not so close as to risk startling her (or be readily attacked if the woman had bad intentions). "Ahoy, ma'am!" She said cheerfully. "How fare ye this day?"

"Ah, good evening," she bows. "I see your crew brings goods for trade. I've not seen you among Macaw's retinue before."

"Nay, ye wouldn't have," Rae says. "I just signed on f'r the voyage t' Krynn to be learnin' how to spelljam. I be a student at Sigil Prep in... well, Sigil." She looks aside, "I suppose classes have already started, so I may need to be convincin' the faculty t' give me credit for this voyage..."

"There is much to be said about the classroom of life," the old woman says. "Oh, forgive my impropriety. I am Mei Ling. I am... I suppose you would say the 'mayor' of this port of call."

"it be a pleasure meetin' ye,"Rae says. "I be Rae Quetzali, from Ixalan and the Brazen Fleet."

"Ixalan, you say? Well, there's a sphere I've never heard of. You must come for tea and tell me about this place."
