Re: Fiends and Family

"Ooo Chocolates!" But instead of getting the chocolates, she took the flowers and got a vase for her mum. She must have invited Malcolm to meet Jennifer. Putting the flowers in water, she set them on the table.

Re: Fiends and Family

"Your home is very lovely, Mrs. Atlishi," Malcolm says as he steps inside. He spots Jennifer and grins an unpleasant grin that no one but Mora sees.

Mora frowned, watching Malcolm out of the corner of her eye. She pretended to be studying the flowers and making small arrangements to the bunch. She walked around the bunch to get a better watch on him, then smiled, "Perfect!" She set the bunch in the center of the table.

She kept an eye on Malcolm, but went to stand by Jennifer, looping her arm into her cousin's.

"So, Jennifer," Malcolm says, "what part of Hell are you from?"

Re: Fiends and Family

Jennifer was perplexed by Malcolm, Mora hadn't mentioned him before and she wasn't sure why he was here. He had brought flowers and chocolates though. Was he here for a date? But why would... oh! He must be dating Mora, that would explain why she took the flowers. She wasn't sure why Mora hadn't mentioned that her boyfriend would be here, or even that she had a boyfriend, but it was the only thing that made sense to her.

Looking him over, she wasn't particularly impressed one way or the other. He seemed alright, kind of like a lot of the other boys in her cult youth group, but she was surprised that Mora was dating him given that he seemed so... conventional. Still it wouldn't be good to be rude.

"Phlegethos" she replied, smiling "My dad works as Legate at the Palace in Abriymoch. Have you ever been there?"

Re: Fiends and Family

"Oh, yes. All the time," Malcolm says. "We should definitely get together and compare notes. Maybe we could take a walk after dinner?"

Re: Fiends and Family

Jennifer was only a little perplexed, since it seemed a little forward to suggest a family activity as the guest, but an after dinner walk through the neighborhood to get to know your girlfriend's family sounded suitably wholesome, certainly better than going skinny-dipping right after meeting someone at a party, that's for sure.

"Uh sure, that sounds fun, right Mora?"

Re: Fiends and Family

Mora shook her head, "He was asking you, not me. It would give you a chance to check out Sigil." She had never been terribly fond of Malcolm. And after that look, she didn't know if she should warn her cousin or just follow them.

Re: Fiends and Family

"Absolutely," Malcolm says. "I can show you all the best parts of Sigil." He makes a nefarious chuckle, then says, "I mean," and makes a charming laugh.

Re: Fiends and Family

Mora nudged her cousin. She didn't plan on leaving her alone. And she would go with if Jenn wanted her to. Otherwise she would follow.
