"No, it's going to be awesome. Y'know, once I perfect the hangglider. But then, I'll be able to get to class across campus in record time." She smiles at Maki. "Nice to meet you." She puts her hand on her chin and thinks. "You're probably too tall to help with test runs, but you can definitely help me install the net."

"Just like that!" Gear says, of Maki's sketch. "Except mine has sparklers on the side."

"Well, it's mostly for distraction and to keep birds from landing on it while its flying." She pauses. "And because that'd look cool. Wouldn't it? I think it would. Okay, let's make this!"

"Ah, this is so exciting! What if the wings just folded back and snap into place when it's in the air, and then I can make the tunnel smaller, but..." She glances toward the window. "I'm going to have to build another launcher at the artificer building to get back here..."

Gear hastily sets to work on her glider, making modifications on the fly, and shouting out suggestions to Maki.
