Rae also waves at the men, when she lands, she says, " Ahoy!" To them. Then she walks in to the restaurant. She immediately turns up her nose as she recognizes the food as similar to what the Sun Empire warriors ate. But, she fought down old prejudices, and tried to smile again. Surely no one here would be from Ixalan...planar travel was only recently returned to that world... And besides, being here at Sigil Prep had really opened her mind up. So she pressed on, looking forward to trying some Sun Empire..."tortillas".

"...number seven is two burritos, and number eight is a taco salad bowl and number nine..."
"Are you going to read the whole menu?" the girl behind the counter asks.
"No, no," Tinya says. "This is my order."
"How interesting," says a voice from across the room, amplified with intent so that Rae could hear it. "I didn't know pirates could read, much less go to school."

"Arrr, I be knowin' what an"x" be lookin' like," she says trying to find the source of the voice. "How ye be thinking I went on account?".
She forced playfulness, there would be time to get angry if the situation called for it. For a siren, the best way to deal with a foe was to make friends. When that didn't work, she could always go for the throat.

Two young humans in Sun Empire attire sit in a corner booth, eating tacos. The male, the obvious source of the voice, is smiling at Rae's reply. The female has her face buries in her hands.
"Well that was certainly a brazen comeback if I've ever heard one."
"He seems nice," Tinya says. "We should sit with them."

"Aye," Rae says with forced cheerfulness, "ye know us...theBrazen Fleet. We not be takin' that name due to bashfulness. Do ye have room at yer table? It be a might crowded in here an me mates need a place t' be sittin'"
As she asks about sitting, she realizes she's next as Tinya has finished her order. She looks atthe menu...which she can read... But turns to the woman and asks, "What would ye be recommendin'?"

"I mean, it's all pretty good. I guess the most popular item is the Burrito Maztica. Beans, cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, onions and ground beef."
"She's a bird!" the Sun Empire guy calls out. "Give her something with worms and seed!"
"Oh. That would be the Quetzal-gordita."

Rae rolls her eyes. "Ye see feathers and ye think 'bird'? Avast, ye been away from home too long." She turns back to the clerk. "I be havin' the burrito. An' a rum."
Offline

"Rum? We have Cormyr Cola, Diet Cormyr Cola, Mountain Doom, Sprite and High Seas Fruit Punch."

Rae is intrigued, and orders a High Seas Fruit Punch. She picks up her order when it's offered, and takes the burrito, drink, and tray over to the Sun Empire couple's corner booth. She sits down, and slides over into the corner, leaving room on the outside for Tinya and Jasmine (if she joins them) and their back-borne wings. She folds her feathers back as much as possible to accommodate the booth and table type structure.
"So, ye be from the Sun Empire, aye?" she asks. "Ye be students at Sigil Prep, or be ye just tourists in Sigil?"

Tinya squeezes into the booth. Her wings don't seem to bother her over much. Jasmine pulls a chair from a nearby table.
"No, we're students," the guy says. "The Empire wanted to know what this new series of planes had to offer by way of knowledge."
The girl pulls out a first year "Basics of Ranger Spellcasting" text. "Do you know, they don't even understand color sequencing here? There's no mention of mana color in any of my textbooks."
