Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

Jennifer blinked, surprised at a question that sudden as her skin darkened to a more vibrant shade of red.

"Well, I uh... that is. I don't... I mean..."

Quite honestly, she'd never been alone with another guy that wasn't a family member, much less gone on a date. Nevertheless, she could see that Maki had come to her in a time of need, and if it was true that she was indeed the most informed person in the dorm... well then it was practically her responsibility to help however she could.

"Well... I guess I could try to help. Um, who is it with? If you don't mind me asking."

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

"Oh!" Jennifer exclaimed. She wasn't one to judge, and Frances seemed nice enough. But all the same, she couldn't really imagine dating someone like... that.

"Well, uh good... good for you. Where were you planning on going... for your date?"

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

"Ooh, I can help! I can help!" Hano bursts in. "You gotta take him somewhere really pretty, see, and a place for you to show off what you can do. I took a guy to this cool grotto and then snuck up on a giant snake!
And then, once you've taken him on a few dates and you're comfortable with each other, you can start showing affection. Rubbing up against his leg is good way to do this- Jen, do you mind?"
without waiting for an answer she slinks down and quickly demonstrate how to properly rub up against Jen's leg. "But don't do that too quick! These things take time." she adds.

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

Jennifer was practically scarlet from blushing as she took a step away from Hano rubbing against her leg. "Right! Um yeah, going slow. That's important. If you rush into things you'll just look like a Succubus hussy, and no one wants that. You've got to know the signs, give off all the right signs so he'll know when to move to the next steps without looking over eager. Like... oh this could get involved, how much time do we have until the date? You know never mind. The best solution is to look to the experts. I'll get my books."

She was gone only a moment before returning to a large stack of books, all of them with oddly minimalist white covers depicting vaguely symbolic objects. On each of them was emblazoned the words Dawn Knight upon the spine, along with an indivdual title for each of the sequels, all of them references to times of the day. The first few were fairly self explanatory, Dawn Knight, Morning Star and High Noon. But after that the titles seemed to have run out of grand sounding allusions, including Half Past twoDoes Solstice Count?Elevenses, and That Weird Time during the Middle of Summer when you Feel Tired but its still Light Out and You Want to go to Bed but the Sun still Shines in your Eyes despite Drawing the Blinds.

She placed the books all upon the coffee table next to where Satin was finishing her meal. "Trust me. These books, are the best, they've taught me everything I know about romance. Read through them, and you should be set. Oh but, you got to make sure that Frances is more of an Edmund rather than a Jaskin, but I think we can all agree we'd rather be winning a mysterious and conflicted yet dashing Paladin rather than some weirdo overly effeminate elf boy right?" she smiled rather smugly to herself before realizing something and covering her mouth. "Oh! Spoilers sorry!"

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

Jennifer threw her arms up into the arms shaking her head. "I don't know, I could never understand the attraction, but its clearly meant just to facilitate the love triangle plot line. Still, I could never understand someone like Jaskin. He's just so bland, next to no personality, just a pretty face designed specifically to appeal to whatever kind of vacuous girl would be into that kind of thing. Not at all like Edmund, he's so dreamy and mysterious, especially in those parts where he just said nothing, letting his looks do all the talking that needed to be done. Oh it's so incredible just to think about."

she sighed wistfully, lost in some fantasy for a moment before she cleared her throat and returned to reality.

"But you get what I meant when I said about signs, right? Like when a guy ignores you and acts like he doesn't want you around any more, he's really just worried about you and trying to protect your feelings, and all you have to do is put yourself in danger so he can swoop in and rescue you. Just like when Dawn went to confront Edmund's order and nearly got smited... smitten?... smited by his team mate Rosacria."

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

I seem to think that would be a case by case basis.but i did get tips.here is what ive gathered from the books a man in these cultures must be dominant and strong.he must feel in control. Even no especially if he isnt in control.

Re: Life on the Fifth Floor

"Well, but..." Hano breaks in. "You gotta show a guy that you can take care of the two of you, ya? No guy wants a girl who can't carry her weight. Maybe you could take Frances somewhere where the two of you could do something exciting! He's in an adventurer major, right?"
