Jennifer frowned. "I mean yeah, don't look like a total burden I guess. But guys like being the hero, taking center stage, all that stuff. Maybe hang back and let him take point while you be the support, you know? He'll appreciate it more if he knows that you're not risking your life for his sake."

Hano adds "Yeah, he asked you on a date. So you gotta be you! He didn't ask this book woman on a date... even though there's proably some spell out there that could let him do that.
I think the location is an important part of a date, so do you have any ideas?"

Jennifer seemed a tad doubtful, but she wanted to be supportive. "A picnic would be nice. You've got to be careful on the first date though. Do you have a chaperone we could have keep an eye on things? Make sure nothing... untoward happens, you know?"

She cleared her throat, uncomfortable with the mention of the word. "Right, exactly, you're not even married, and then with a ske... with someone who's is married. It's just not terribly safe, Asmodeus doesn't like it when people break their vows like that."

"Ooh, that sounds fun!" Hano pipes up. "I've heard there's lots of cool clubs in town! Jennifer and I could accompany you and Frances there, and then leave you alone if you want... and Jenn could do be a, uh, chaperone if she wants."
