"I think they're trying to go to Menzoberrenzen," Neil offers. "To buy a book? Seems like a weird place to go..."

"That's a heck of a team for a shoppin' trip. They goin' somewhere dangerous?"

Mortals! Was he talking to her? Maybe he liked her. But she wasn't who she seemed to be, and would he like her if he knew who she really was? Did it matter? She was being stupid. She knew she was being stupid, and she couldn't make herself stop. Mortals, this was just awful.
"We were heading to the bookstore." She answered Leo's question. "Well, a bookstore. Only this one is in some drow city because the book Rae wants is out of stock here."
There was a noticeable pause before she added. "You can come along if you want." She couldn't quite make eye contact with him as she said it.

"Alright, sounds like a hoot," says Leo, "I ain't never been to a drow city before."
If he noticed Marty's awkwardness, he wasn't saying so.

An exhausted looking Hobgoblin stumbles into the dorms, panting and drenched with sweat. If you were to bother looking, you would see the faint traces of a smile on his face. Sure it was one heck of a run and he probably needed to lie down and take a shower before heading back. But that was probably the easiest 50 gold that Doraad had ever made, for something he would've had to do for free back in the army. Oh and this was probably a good opportunity to familiarize himself with the lay of the land and drop off his stuff before heading back too.
"Room 506..." *wheeze* "And the showers..."

Doraad finds his room easily enough. And the showers. As the halfling dismisses his servant staff, who have diligently made up his room to look 1503% fancier than the others on this floor. "No, I told mother and Dad I could make it on my own among the peasantry, and so I shall."

So after a nice relaxing shower, Doraad changes back into his clothes and heads into his room. He finds that his roommate has already been and gone, with a relatively neat setup in their room. A bit more tidy than he was expecting really, given that there was at least one room that smelled even from the outside like a living cloudkill had decided to set up shop. After unpacking his very limited clothing supply, and arguably more importantly all his books and studying materials, Doraad heads back out into the central hallway to find it surprisingly empty, apart from the halfling soliloquizing to himself or something. With a sigh, he heads over and asks:
"Need some help there? Otherwise probably have to head back out and be the welcoming committee."

"Oh, no," the halfling says. "I'll be fine. I'm learning to be independent, and so I shall. Although, if you would, could you bring me some cookies when you return? And some of those chips with the cheese flavor? And possibly a roast chicken and potato dinner? Thirty gold should cover that, shouldn't it?"

Okay as nice as it was to have the opportunity to make a whole bunch of money this was probably going to set some really bad precedent. Kid was never going to make something of himself that way if he just kept asking for "favors". More importantly, Doraad was never going to have any FREE TIME at this rate. So he slowly started to inch back away from the halfling while trying to think up an excuse.
"Sorry, i'd love to but i'm stuck with move in duty today. So really gotta get back to the group location. Alright? Coolthanksseeyoulater..."
Honestly, it was pretty impressive how fast the hobgoblin could move when sufficiently motivated, even without spell on him.

[Alright, doing this proper now, sorry about before]
After Frances walked with a group to the dorms, he would be looking at his own dorm room as he knocked. "Hello? Anyone in there?" He asked, hoping there wasn't. As long as no one answered he opened up the door and took a look around to see if there was any signs of anyone living in there.
