Arriving back in Azer, t'Nee can't help but notice that the fifth floor is mostly empty. "Hmm, I wonder where everyone went?" he wonders aloud, not noticing the ninja hanging from the ceiling in the common room, watching him as he hops in the window.
"Well, I sure hope they come back tonight, or else I'll have to go visit the swamp alone."
He considers asking Kel to come, but Creig is almost as bad as a bullywug, and Kel would almost definitely get eaten. Billen? Naw. Chi-chi? He might get eaten. Burvik? Maybe -- he already smelled like a swamp, which is an okay start.
"If only Shiori were around. I've been meaning to hang out with her more."

"Hi t'Nee!" Speak of a ninja, and she appears! Shiori waves from the ceiling. "Look, I finally got those magic slippers from the gameshow to work! Now we can both hang out on ceilings."

t'Nee startles and hops straight to the center of the ceiling, where he sticks, sprawled out flat at an awkward angle.
"Goddamn Ninjas," he begins, "are SO FREAKING COOL!"

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." Shiori moves over to help pry t'Nee up (down?) off the ceiling. Not all the way up (or down), that would be a jerk move. Just enough to not be stuck. "Um, thanks? It's just a magic item, though, anyone could use it."

"Oh sure anyone could use it to stick to the ceiling, but not just anyone could be as skillfully sneaky about it! I'm very impressed!"
"Anyway, how would you feel about a field trip to the swamp in the morning? One of the Druid professors is coming with to take a look and see if she can determine why my swamp is shrinking. I know neither of us have any druid levels, but even if it's not worth any credits, once classes start we may be stuck around here for a while."

"Sure, that sounds like fun. I've never been to a swamp before. And it'll be good to be able to account for my time when my mother asks me what I've been doing this week."
"Do you mind if we move down to the floor? I'm getting kind of dizzy. Not sure if it's your poison or being upside down..."

“Oh yeah, sure.” t’Nee says, hopping down to the floor.
“I’d offer to help you down, but that wouldn’t help the whole poison thing, if that’s what’s making you dizzy.”

Shiori drops down somewhat less gracefully. "Oof. I'm sure I'll get used to the poison eventually. Just need to keep exposing myself."

"Huh, I guess I've never thought about it that way. I have no idea if that's how it works. You're welcome to try, though."
t'Nee holds a hand out to Shiori cautiously.

"Oh, my mother's an expert on poisons. You know how people build up a tolerance to alcohol if they drink a lot? She says most poisons work like that, at least a little bit. If you can survive a dose, you can get used to it. That's why she always gave us a little bit of something with dinner, growing up."
She takes t'Nee's hand again, wobbling. "Oog. Not there yet, I guess."
