Marty rolled over to Maki. "So, you're a girl." Which was a stupid way to open a conversation. She really had to stop doing that. "What do you think of that guy?" She asked. "The one back at the arena. Tall, human, short hair. I saw him in the quad earlier hand-standing on a beer keg and drinking from it while upside down." It had been an impressive sight actually, and something she might have done... before.
"Anyway. He's all buff and kinda cute and really popular. But the way he said we had a date. I don't know. What do you think? Should I go? What would you do?"

The wisdom of my elders say he is what is the word in common"a shiny boat" pretty to look at most likely ineffective in matters of love.if you want a survivalists oppinion on mates go for the elf man points to cowboy.he is handsome, strong and most likely a good protector. I can say the keg stander would be dead in a day on my home world the elf man could last maybe till old age.

"Uhhhhh..." Marty stared. Maybe she'd asked the wrong person, even though she looked the most human of the other girls present. "Matters of love? Survivalist? Mate - like marriage and kids? Protector?" She swallowed, hard, and blushed, and only glanced briefly at Leo. "Anyway, he hasn't even noticed me." He'd tipped his hat at her twice now. She wasn't sure what to make of that, but it seemed like a nice thing to do.
"I was asking more, like, you know, would he be fun? Would that thing he told me to go to be any fun? And I was asking if you'd date him if he asked you like that. Or didn't ask but told, or whatever. You know. Never mind. But we have to do that thing with the skates and the wheels as soon as I can afford it."

If he asked me i would have turned him down.
If the cowboy asked me maybe. But i let my heart choose and by the way you are acting your heart has chosen.
If you like him talk to him more. If not let the elf woman take him.
Kor wisdom some men of all races have heads thicker than goblins skull. Translation they wont notice subtle advances.

"Oh." She replied. not hearing what she wanted to hear, but appreciating the viewpoint. "Thank you."
Also, her heart hadn't chosen anyone! Or said anything. And even if it did there was no reason to listen when things wouldn't last. Couldn't last. Shouldn't last. She really had to focus less on fitting in and more on fixing things. But apparently all the professors with real power didn't arrive on campus until classes started.

Rae walks up to the drow guards. "Ahoy, matey. I be here to be gettin' a book I need fer me classes. It looks like this entrance be not so easy to navigate. Do ye have a map to th' bookstore I can use?"

(I rolled Persuasion for Rae; 18.)
Although the guards are still warily eyeing 001, one of them slowly nods. "Yes, of course." He goes inside, and emerges shortly with a map of the Non-Drow Entrance. "Spiders here, shriekers here, and a whole lot of spiders here. Don't worry if you kill the bridge guard, we have several on stand-by."

"Aren't ye a true buccaneer?" Rae says smiling. She risks giving him a peck on the cheek in thanks, and (unless that's a fighting move) takes the map back to the others. "Arrr, we be here, and we be needin' t' get here,"
