"Do we have to go through the webs?" Marty asks after peeking. "They'll get in my hair!" A pause... "And your feathers."

"Aye," Rae says. "We go down this hallway, watchin' th' room with whate'er is in there shriekin', and direct to the bridge. If we can get t' the bridge without enterin' the cave of crabs, we can deal with th' scallywag there if needs be." She folds up the map and pockets it, then walks down the hallway, trying to skirt the opening to the shriekers room.
She looks to Marty, "If we c'n get past the Shriekin', we should be able to squeeze by the' webs to starboard."

Marty rolled forward, watching for traps and other things that weren't what they seemed.
"Looks like we'll get wet at the end of the hallway." She offered her opinion. "Seems like the entrance into the crab area requires an underwater swim."
She kept a lookout for spider webs off to the left, and asked Jennifer. "Hey Jen. Oh! You don't mind me calling you Jen, do you? In any case,. Can you use that fire trick to burn away spider webs?"

(I neglected to mention: the stream is not actually there. The pool in the corner room is.)
The path is easy enough as you guide yourself through the poorly maintained cavern. The room to the right contains a visible path of mushrooms, but they're set pretty far in, and whatever danger they're meant to pose doesn't effect the group as they traverse the hall. As they reach the small passage marked "Webs", they find a few strands in the main hall. Enough to be annoying but not to hinder. The side tunnel is absolutely full of webs, however, so much that you can only really tell it's full of spiders by the vibrations of the webbing.
Ahead, they pass under a large wooden bridge, about thirty feet up. The tunnel curves into the larger room in the upper right corner of the map.
(Interested in trying to navigate the side tunnel or something-something bridge, or just move ahead?)

"Aye," Rae says pulling out the map again. "Jennifer, if ye can burn away th' webs, per'aps we can use this side tunnel to get t' th' bookstore without having t' send th' bridge lookout t' Davey Jones."

It took a moment for Jennifer to realize that Marty was talking to her, no one had ever really called her Jen, unlike her father and her fully fiendish peers, she like other tieflings, didn't have a 'True Name' as such, but names still had great value in Fiendish society, both those that were given and received. A devil may guard their true name from all, but they also hoarded their given name. Her father after all was quite proud of the name his line received when he rose to the service of Belial's legate, and had been known to take pleasure in torturing those that misused it.
This one 'Jen' however, felt different to Jennifer. She wasn't quite sure how to describe it yet though, so she just gave Marty a shy and slightly proud smile, before gesturing at her burning mace.
"Not with this fire no, it's not hot enough for that. But Lord Asmodeus has a lot of hellfire, I think I can ask him for something with a little more heat behind it. It could take a while to burn that much though, it's terribly damp here."
she edged her hoof away from a spot of mold that she was pretty sure hadn't been there a minute ago.

Unit peers into the web-chocked passage. "Nope."

Maki wants to collect the silkiest looking webs

"Well lets go around then. I'm sure we can handle a few spiders or crabs."

We can wait for Maki to collect some webs, then walk down to the end of the hall, Rae backing up Marty in checking for traps. As they pass a certain point in the hallway, Rae says, "Th' bridge must be right o'er us right now." She shakes. "Didn't realize how much being inna cave, inside a bigger cave would make me timbers shiver."
