"Well, last evening I asked Asmodeus for a spell that protects people with a sanctuary from harm. Perhaps I could cast it on you and you could just fly up past the bridge, into the store and get your book?"

Silgon.. says to Rae, quietly. The guard is probably there to keep the Drow from entering here, not keep us out.

"Aye, I'm sure the guard would not want t' keep us from his place of business. Th' sutler wouldn' want that," Rae says to Silgon. Then to Jennifer, "Aye, Jennifer, that might solve our problem handsomely."

Jennifer was overjoyed at the praise. "Great! So just so you know, certain strong willed people maaayy be able attack you anyway. And it only lasts for about 1 minute, so try to get things done quickly." she prepared herself for the casting.
"Are you ready?"

"Aye," Rae nods.

"Right." she closed her eyes and gestured her hands towards Rae. "Dear Lord Asmodeus. My friend Rae here needs to get her book, but it's in a cave full of demon-worshipping Drow. So we're a little worried that they might try to hurt her so if you could help protect her that would be really great. And I'm sorry that I don't know if Rae actually worships you as the rightful lord and master of us all, but I'll definitely tell her all about you afterwards, and I'm sure she'll come around once she knows how much you care about protecting her and what a good overlord of the multiverse you'll make. So thank you, Nos nihil ante vos."
A crimson light briefly enshrouded Rae before fading into her skin, leaving only a small magical sheen.

Rae gives Jennifer a hug. "Thank ye!" She turns to the others. "If ye like, ye can still harvest some crabs fer a meal afterwards!"
She flaps her wings, lifting herself up to the bridge, behind where the guard is standing watch. She takes a moment to see if he noticed, and if he cares to do anything if he did.

Silgon will have a shuriken in hand, out of site of the guard, just encase Rae is attacked.

As the others wait at the edge of the crab cave, Rae flies up onto the bridge. There, the guard turns, and groans. "There's a perfectly good walking path." He grumbles a bit. Up close, he's more clearly a hobgoblin. "State your business and show your student ID, please."
Offline
"Ahoy!" Rae smiles pulling out her ID. "I know there's a path t' walk, matey" she flutters her wings, "But sometimes I just need the wind in me personal sails." She steps forward, offering her ID for him to peruse. "I be in port fer business at yer bookstore. They be holdin' a book fer me I be needin' fer me class. They be expectin' me."
