Silgon replies... while keep an eye on Rae's interaction, No... my life has been fairly adventure free, my time with the monks was spent in doing chores around the monastery, meditation, and the such. But ... i do do a mean juggling act. Not a lot of entertainment there and i kept them entertained. Maybe that is why i am here, i kept distracting the masters. "Deep base chuckle" and a grin.

"This is the first time I've been further than Nessus." Jennifer piped in, before furrowing her brow. "I think, technically speaking I my dad and I took a portal from Phlegethos to Sigil and now we're on a prime material plane, so I'm not entirely sure how that figures in terms of distance."

Wow. Sailing the sky on a kite. Sounds scary and interesting! I think i would rather stick to the mountains and rivers and lakes that i am use to. Ohh dont get me wrong Miss Jennifer. I have traveled, to the cites and villages and other monasteries in my region's responsibility.

Marty listened to the others with growing interest and some envy. "You rode a kite through the sky?" She asked Maki in wonder while mostly dividing her attention between the fetid pool and Rae's progress.
"I know what it's like to have no adventures." She replied to the dragon-man. "I never really left the thorp until recently." She shared. "A thorp is just a word for fortified farm. We had to have the walls because of goblins and bandits. There were lots of chores, and even with six older brothers there were plenty for me. Tending animals or crops every day, day after day. Sometimes I got to go to Threshold with my folks or oldest brothers, for festivals or to sell livestock."
What she was saying wasn't nearly as interesting as what she was hearing, so she wrapped up. "So when I left home for my Shearing I decided to have a real adventure, and here I am."

As the group talks, a couple of them see some of the Labrador-sized crabs wander near the mouth of the cave, then scuttle away.
On the bridge, the hobgoblin checks the ID. "Sigil Prep? Right, fair enough. Pass you may. Into the bookstore of the Drow!"
The bridge leads to a corridor, which leads to the rear entrance of the bookstore, which is not unlike the student bookstore at Sigil Prep, but much darker, and with more free-roaming spiders. Students look up and shun as Rae walks in, but leave her alone.

Any drow that makes eye contact with Rae, no matter how contemptuously, receives a cheerful, "Ahoy!" She makes her way finally to a cashier who is free.
"Ahoy, fair sutler," Rae smiles at the drow woman. "I be here to pick up a book I be needin' for one o' me classes." She pulls out the note that was taped to her door. "'An Introduction to Airship Combat- A Personal Account of Battles in the Skies Above Khorvaire, by Capt. Pherris Gerriman'. I be Rae Quetzali." She shows her Sigil Prep ID. "I be expected."
