Below, a pair of giant fire beetles is released into the ring, as some wranglers drag out an ankheg.

Blue wrinkles his nose and stops eating. I dunno about the animal fighting thing. Seems kind of mean.

"Where is that bird girl, not Rae, the other one?" Marty asks. "I guess stopping these fights is too worthy a cause for her time."
She looks to Mitzi. "I don't much like this either, now that I see what's going on." She frowned. "I wonder how the crowd would react if we let the monsters loose on them? Wouldn't be so entertaining then, would it?"
