Simon's footsteps slow as he approaches the classroom. Despite the detour, he was still late. But perhaps he could make up for lost time. He pulls out a marker from his jacket, holding it like a dagger. Rogue tradition dictated that you fixed this type of screw-up by demonstrating that you knew a skill better than the person teaching it. He then eases the door open until he can see enough of the room inside to jump through time.
Unfortunately, Simon forgot to make sure the door stayed closed beforehand. His head made it through the frame of the door window, but his shoulders stayed outside. "...Help." He looked like the subject of a particularly realistic painting. Or maybe a carnival attraction.
(Rolled a 7 (Critical Failure) to sneak into the room with Stealth.)

There is a pause, then a slowly building applause at Simon's... not success. Finally, someone comes to help him out.

In Simon's opinion, this would have sucked less if everyone had just laughed. "...Thanks. You're too kind." With the help of his classmate, he removes himself from the window frame. "What'd I miss?"

"Your stealth check, notably," the Professor Flamelicker says. "But that's okay. Just steal the notes from one of your classmates, and you should be able to catch up quickly."

"Yeah, thanks for that." Simon had been planning on swiping someone's notes. In all fairness, his classmates had probably been expecting that without the professor saying so. He slips into one of the rows between seats, trying not to disturb anyone.
Simon stops when he sees people who are actually paying attention to the lecture. Standing behind them, he says in his best gruff voice, "Hey, you! Gimme those notes!" This would have been easier with a partner. Oh, well. Simon ducks aside as heads start turning. As long as there wasn't that much honor among thieves, he would only have to avoid the notice of one person.
(Rolled a 23 (Nat 20) to divert the attention of the other students with Deception.)

(Just a heads up, I updated my last post with a roll.)

A surprising amount of heads turn at Simon's distraction, including the Professor's.

Simon needs no further bidding. He gently takes the notes from a classmate who appeared to know what they were doing. This judgment is made purely on appearance. Sadly, there is no time to get to know the other students better. Simon then makes his way to an empty seat. He would return the notes later.
