A Bone Shaking Decision.

Frances would have left the dorm to walk around, though he said he had stuff to pick up, well that was just an excuse to not get dragged into a cook out. Though that might seem dumb to some, to him, he had to take precautions for reasons of his own, and his past.

After a bit he would pull out his violin and start playing a bit.* As he did he took a look around, looking at the people of the city. And of course, remembering and praying that it this tale doesn't end like the ones in the past did.

Remembering those times was as close to painful as Frances could feel. Towns and cities where he lived for years, made so many friends, and one stupid event, a torn cloth, someone walking in on him in his house, something to revile what he was and the entire populace raised arms to kill. Then again, they say the undead was a curse, more so to the undead themselves than to anyone else if any asked Frances, but then again he couldn't blame any of them. Not a single one of them.

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

A girl in a black dress, with pale skin, Kara-Turan features, hair dyed a shade blacker than it normally is, and a sort of emotionless look on her face wanders by and sits, listening to Frances play. for the length of the song, she just watches, then says "You have... a sadness. But you aren't... mastered by your darkness."

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

When Frances stops playing and the woman speaks to him he would turn his head, Frances was a bit surprised that someone stopped to listen to his music. "Oh, well..." He started but gave a moment pause. She was right.

"Yea, you're right. But...well one has to keep living in the present, right?" He asked, trying to sound a bit more cheery. "And no, I don't let that darkness master me, nor will I let it. I've...personally seen the effects that it has on people that become mastered by their darkness...it isn't a pretty sight." He said.

After a second he shook his head. "Ah, where's my manners, I'm Frances, Frances De'Shalas." He said greeting the woman with a slight bow.

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

The girl offers a long pause before saying, "Kazerabet." She stands, glances him over. "You try to hide... your problems, see curses where... you could embrace gifts. You fear judgment?" She shrugs. "Coffee?"

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Kazerabet." Frances said as he listened to what she had to say. Frances couldn't really say anything at first as he looked over his own arm, covered in a thick leather glove that went all the way to his elbow, cloak sleeve under the wrappings as he said "More so than you would believe." He said answering her question.

He looked over to the city again and said "I know it might sound weird but...even as accepting and diverse as this city is...would they accept me, or will I be another outcast at best?" He asked.

There has been so many times he wished to share his secret, just to one person but everyone who learned has all done the same thing. Maybe it's different here? But could he risk it? He turned to Kazerabet again and said "Ah, sorry I got sidetracked. I thank you for the offer, and I would like to accompany you. But coffee has a way to just go right through me." He said.

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

"There is a stage," she says "at the coffee shop. You can... be yourself. Whoever you think that is. You can play. Or listen." She starts walking. "I have poetry. It's... not good. But you'll like it."

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

Frances would look over to her as he thought about it and nodded. "Well, I would be honored to hear what you have." He said following her to the coffee shop stage.

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

Kazerabet makes some very small talk as they walk to Jayla's Coffee Shop. The interior is dimly lit, and the floor is leveled, with tables in the back higher than tables near the front. In one corner is a stage, where a darkly dressed band plays brooding music. Behind hte counter is a middle-aged woman with long black hair who greets Kazy as she enters.

Kazy goes to the counter and gets a coffee. She points. "That one... is the table I like."

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

Frances would enjoy the small talk as they made their way to the coffee shop. When they got there he would take a look around, The atmosphere was rather calm as he would be listening to the music from the stage.

Frances would nod at the woman behind the counter and looked over to where Kazerabet was pointing as he nodded. "This is a nice place." he said.

Re: A Bone Shaking Decision.

"It's good for... thinking. And writing." She sits, and waves at a couple of people nearby. "How long have you been... dead?"
