While the others were chatting, Mora wandered over and got a bag of spicy cheese crackers from the snack machine. She opened them and walked back over. She handed one to Blue and offered some to Jenn.

Jennifer happily accepted the cracker from Mora while she finished with the tickets.
"Alrighty then, I'll give my dad the general headcount. Get ready to hit the slopes everyone!" she skipped out to mail her reply to her father and start making her travel preparations.

She grinned, "Somehow I don't think he invited me. And skiing is.... ummm rather dangerous sliding down a hill of snow with your feet strapped to boards." It was the best way she could describe it.

Jennifer stood with something mixed between defiance and willful ignorance. "He said I could invite any of my friends, Mora, you're my friend, so I think you should be invited. Besides it's a big resort, and there's more to do there than just ski, they've got hot springs and a spa, dining options, the works. Come on, it'll be fun!"

"Um...Isn't that in Hell though? How would we get there? And, maybe more importantly, how would we get back?"

Jennifer couldn't help but give a little eye roll. "I know the Tanar’ri Counterintelligence Authority kind of has a reputation for being a nightmare to deal with, but it's honestly not that bad, just stay out of trouble, don't bring any silver blades longer than 6 centimeters in your luggage, and try not to look too 'Chaotic' at the security checks, and you should be fine."

"What is 'skiing'?" asks Shiori, emerging from the room she shares with Frances.

"Oh, um..." Jennifer thought for a moment "You basically attach these two long planks to your hooves or feet, and then use them and two poles to propel yourself down an icy slope really quickly, it's really popular in Stygia. Plus the lodge is really nice, it's got a spa and everything, just so long as you avoid the timeshare salesfiends."

While Jennifer had undoubtedly been enjoying her time at Sigil, the homesickness was getting to her just a little bit, and with the Gift-giving holiday having passed and winter break nearly upon them she had been getting excited to visit back home.

However this excitement had transformed itself into elation when she had received the most recent letter from home, and it was evident upon her face as she burst into the lobby.

"Mora, everyone, you're never going to believe it. My dad rented out Levistus Bridge peak for his Legate Office retreat, but half of the infernal affairs department was ousted in a vicious inter-departmental coup and their rooms were pre-booked so he said I could bring friends to fill their spots! Who wants to go skiing?!"

Jennifer was only a little perplexed, since it seemed a little forward to suggest a family activity as the guest, but an after dinner walk through the neighborhood to get to know your girlfriend's family sounded suitably wholesome, certainly better than going skinny-dipping right after meeting someone at a party, that's for sure.

"Uh sure, that sounds fun, right Mora?"

Jennifer was perplexed by Malcolm, Mora hadn't mentioned him before and she wasn't sure why he was here. He had brought flowers and chocolates though. Was he here for a date? But why would... oh! He must be dating Mora, that would explain why she took the flowers. She wasn't sure why Mora hadn't mentioned that her boyfriend would be here, or even that she had a boyfriend, but it was the only thing that made sense to her.

Looking him over, she wasn't particularly impressed one way or the other. He seemed alright, kind of like a lot of the other boys in her cult youth group, but she was surprised that Mora was dating him given that he seemed so... conventional. Still it wouldn't be good to be rude.

"Phlegethos" she replied, smiling "My dad works as Legate at the Palace in Abriymoch. Have you ever been there?"

Jennifer nodded "I mentioned it while I was looking at places, but she prefers the works of some of the other Darklords, apparently Sabrina thinks Professor Strahd is 'Overhyped'" she air-quoted "I think her big fixation is on the lich king Azalin Rex right now, she's been doing everything she can to get her paws on anything related to the spells he developed, but it's a bit slow-going, especially since Dad won't let her travel to the domains of dread, given the difficulty to book anything other than a one-way trip."

Jennifer spoke, not precisely thrilled that her family was the subject of conversation, especially given that she could visualize all of the disapproving gazes that would be coming from her father were he here at the moment, but it would probably be fine as long as she focused more on her other siblings.
"Hello Uncle Horxius, they're doing well. Lillian and her husband Lord Klaxius had their one year anniversary right before I left, so we all took a Styx river cruise through Gehenna, so that was a lot of fun. And Alexander's still bragging about starting his internship in the Dragonspawn pits of Azharul. Sabrina's still doing her 'loft thing and dying her fur black. And Elliot's cult corrupted the hierophant of one of the major religions of their world, so he's confident about being able to start shepherding a new source of souls of the damned into the Hells within the next couple months. Still it's nice to know I have some family close by, with everyone in Baator or wherever else."

Jennifer smiled and gave her aunt a quick hug as she was invited in. "Thank you Aunt Atlishi, I'd love some lemonade." she was silent for most of the exchange between Mora and her mother, but she did took the opportunity to add something. "Some of my brothers went to the SoP. It seemed pretty good, but Francis is a rogue major and he said he's looking to transfer out to the familiar program as soon as he can to get some more practical experience. Apparently their sneak attack courses are good on the theoretical stuff, but a little low on practical applications. I mean it's one thing to know which points on a body will instantly kill or inflict torturous pain upon them, but it's apparently another matter to put it into practice when all the people you're stabbing are heavily restrained in barbed black iron chains, at least that's what he said."

"Oh, classes are alright. It does feel a little weird though, most of the Cleric courses are kind of geared towards good alignments. They had to actually check on Lord Asmodeus's status as a deity in the current edition's curriculum to make sure I was meeting all the basic course prerequisites, which is simply ridiculous. Also I'm taking this warlock Feat class on top of my cleric courses to make my dad happy. It's alright, definitely a lot more of Asmodeus's faithful there, but I don't know, so many of them seem a little more like fair-weather devil-worshipers, you know? Like they're only making the pacts because they expect something out of it instead of pledging their soul because of their devotion to the infernal cause."

She began to feel like she was starting to rant, and restrained herself "It's all alright though. What are you up to?"
